The Role of the MLRO - for DFSA Regulated Firms
All firms within the scope of the regulations, must appoint a Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).
This person has to be approved by the regulator, and is the focal point within the firm for the oversight of all activity relating to Anti-Money Laundering.
The MLRO's handling of internal and external reporting, required by the regulations, will be covered, but the responsibilities of the MLRO are now more complex than simply reporting suspicions.
This course provides detailed guidance on what these broader responsibilities include.
