Introduction to the DIFC Data Protection Law
The Dubai International Financial Centre announced recently that it has issued an enhanced data protection law and appointed a data protection commissioner who will oversee the administration by the DIFC Authority. This follows an increasing focus, internationally on the need for personal data to be protected. The Law is therefore compliant with the directives issued by the European Union and the guidelines issued by the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (the OECD).
The course is aimed at providing an easily understandable explanation of the Law and the recent amendments that ensures the protection of personal information so that attendees can assess the impact on their firm.
